I am honoured to write a message for the Khalsa website on the auspicious occasion of Diamond Jubilee celebration at the college for the year 2019. My first and foremost salute to the pioneers who were visionary in the formation of the two institutions at Wailailai in Ba. The successes gained at the institute has been based on the contributions from the school Management Board, trustees, parents, Ministry of Education, staff and the students of the college.
Khalsa College has done well in the arena of education, extra-curricular activities such as kula competitions and in the Oratory competitions. Bhangra and Gidda, the traditional sikh dances have been staged and kept alive during the celebration and special functions at the college. The performance of Bhangra was live on FBC TV during the Girmit Day Celebration in Suva in 2019.
The discipline of students at Khalsa College has improved over the years. The support from the Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, HOD’S and assistant teachers have been tremendous which has led to the improvements in teaching and learning at the college.
I would like to thank all the stakeholders for creating a khalsa that serves its customers in a timely manner today.
My heartily thanks & appreciation to the Ministry of Education officials, trustees, School Management Board, Donors, Ex-students, well-wishers, parents and teachers for the support in the success of the khalsa schools.
