Waheguru blessed our elders in planning the establishment of Khalsa Institutions in Ba, Fiji. Both Khalsa Primary School and Khalsa College have seen great development and prosperity in the last 60 years. Initially our Sikh Community at large contributed for the establishment.
These institutions have provided education to thousands of people who are in many professions and serving in Fiji and in many other countries.
Guru Nanak has said:
ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ॥ (विदिआ वीचारी तां परउपकारी ॥) Page 356/SGGS
Contemplate and reflect upon knowledge, and you will become a benefactor to others.
The past managements and heads of schools in collaboration with Ministry of Education played a key role in all the progress and we whole heartedly congratulate them. Teachers, Students and parents also need to be congratulated as without their hard work and support this would not have been possible.
In the past years the managements and parents had a lot of financial strains but today the Ministry of Education is providing financial aid and all the educational needs and travel expenses to all students up to Year 13 level. We very much appreciate and thank the Government of Fiji.
The present staff of Khalsa Primary School and Khalsa College are working with responsibility and dedication and we thank them for their co-operation.
I also thank the Board of Trustees and my management colleagues for their co-operation and support.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Management I extend our sincere thanks to Ministry of Education for all the advice and support.
I would also like to wish our students all the success in their external examinations.
