The department is working extremely hard to improve the results in English especially in the senior forms (F6&7) and achieve the targets set for this year (2009). On the other hand we would strive to maintain the good performance in Fijian and Form 4 Hindi.

The students are encouraged to participate in the oratory competition and other extra circular activities to boost their confidence and creativity. This year the Language Department organized the Children’s Day Programme, the Environment week display around the school to raise awareness on Environment Conservation .In Oratory Shaniza of Form501 represented the school in the Save the Children Fund Oratory competition at Tilak High School in Lautoka. In addition teachers in the Language Department were instrumental in preparing the students in the Kula Film Awards, Hollywood/Bulawood Dance Competition and the upcoming Tadra Kahani. Finally I would like to thank the members of this department for their assistance, cooperation, dedication and hard work.
